About
What This Site Is
Wing Duty is an independent research resource for people exploring careers in the United States Air Force. We publish detailed AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code) profiles, training guides, and benefits breakdowns to help prospective and current airmen make informed decisions.
What This Site Is Not
This site is not affiliated with the U.S. Air Force, the Department of Defense, or any government agency. We are not recruiters. We do not process enlistment paperwork, submit applications, or make promises about job availability.
How We Research
Every AFSC profile and guide is built from official Air Force sources first. We reference AFI 36-2101, af.mil, afpc.af.mil, DFAS pay tables, and other publicly available publications. When official sources are insufficient, we use established secondary references like military.com and militaryonesource.mil.
All dollar figures reflect the current calendar year. We update pay tables, BAH rates, BAS, and GI Bill figures annually.
Why This Exists
Choosing a military career path is a major life decision. Most of the information people need exists in scattered official publications, PDFs, and regulation documents. This site pulls that information together into readable profiles and guides so people can do their own research before talking to a recruiter.
